Vesper Books & Wine is the brainchild of Symantha Duggan — first imagined in Austin, Texas in 2012, and brought fully to life in 2020 alongside her partner Rob Wilson. Today, the shop lives inside a late-1800s Detroit Savings Bank in Core City.
More than a retail space, Vesper is a gathering place. A hyper-curated selection of cookbooks, beverage books, and everything fermentation and farming. On the wine side, one word guides everything: intentionality — working with small producers aligned toward biodynamics, regenerative farming, and minimal intervention. Natural, living wines — always with a story.
